Optimizing the Peloton App Experience on Precor Treadmills
Led research and design initiatives to assess the Peloton App’s integration with Precor treadmills in commercial environments. Evaluated its potential as a subscription driver while analyzing user behavior, workout expectations, and overall experience. Insights from this study informed feature enhancements, ensuring a seamless and engaging fitness journey for exercisers in shared spaces.
Mapping the User Journey
I started this project by creating a flow map to visually outline the user experience journey. This map provided a clear overview of how users navigate through different screens, interactions, and decision points. It highlighted key touchpoints and potential paths, helping to ensure a seamless and intuitive experience from start to finish.
Laying the Foundation with Low-Fidelity Wireframes
After mapping out the user flow, I created low-fidelity wireframes to define the basic structure, layout, and key interactions of the Progressive Web App. These wireframes used simple shapes, placeholders, and basic typography to keep the focus on functionality rather than visual design. This helped communicate the core experience quickly and clearly, making it easier for stakeholders to review and provide feedback early in the process.
Refining the Design with High-Fidelity Wireframes
I created high-fidelity wireframes to test the interface with users and gather actionable feedback. These detailed designs helped evaluate usability, refine interactions, and ensure the experience met user needs before moving into development.
Conclusion
After testing with participants, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive—100% of users said they would try this experience. Participants highlighted the seamless navigation, clear interface design, and overall ease of use. Many noted that the experience exceeded their expectations, with 85% stating they would actively use the product in its current form. These insights validate the design approach and confirm that the interface effectively meets user needs, providing a strong foundation for future enhancements and a succesful business case.
